Ebay

I have decided to ebay. Michael has started buying and selling on ebay and he’s becoming obsessed with it. I have crafty stuff here and there and the stuff I make. It can’t hurt to put it out there and see what happens. Now that I’m thinking about it though, I’m thinking of random things around my house I can put on there. I don’t want to get carried away. I’m not very familiar with ebay, I’ve never bought anything off there. Any advice?

My advice....do a search of items BEFORE you list. I used to buy and sell a lot on Ebay, but in some product areas (and at different times of the year), you'll get little more than the cost of posting your item back. I quit because there were just too many people selling the same stuff as me and the fees for posting were as much as the auction would end at!

ALWAYS search the going rate and current auctions first. If there are a hundred people this week selling what you have and you notice their auctions are closing lower than you want....hold on to your item and try later.

If you do post, be VERY descriptive so people can find your stuff on multiple search terms. Good luck and let me know what you're listing....maybe you could offer a pre-sale on your blog!

I like JR's ideas....I haven't sold on ebay. Maybe you could try craigslist since its free to post.
