What I Didn't Get To Do

Since I didn't get to do a project this weekend, I thought I would still post links to what I hoped to accomplish. I think both of these look easy and inexpensive. I will make at least one of these in the coming weeks and I will post pictures. Thanks for the great ideas, Texas Monkey!!

Ornaments #2

When I painted the ornaments, it's like the dough is sucking the paint into it. It's weird. Plus, when they dry out the surface is rough and not smooth. I'm gonna try to find a new recipe to try that produces a smooth surface to paint on. Once I get a few more painted, I will post the pics.

Ornaments

I made some flour and salt dough ornaments on Saturday. I haven't painted them yet. I cut most of them out with a cookie cutter and then I got brave. I actually shaped some of them by hand. They really didn't turn out too bad. The real test will come after they are painted. I've got plenty of dough left and I plan to make some more ornaments tonight and paint the ones I've baked. Man, I love this crafty stuff!!! I'll post pics soon.

Back to Work

I hate coming back to work after so many days off. It gives me anxieties. Ewwww. It wasn't too bad though.

I have decided that my next task it to make a homemade gingerbread house. Yay!! This should be interesting and I will be sure to post pics. Maybe I'll get crazy and do a 2 story or something with a garage. Whew hoo!!!

My "Works of Art"

Here are some of the things I've been painting. I guess it's not too bad for just starting out. I have a couple of picture frames and a framed mirror at home to paint as well. I'll post those when I'm done. Critique me please.

I'm back....

I've decided that I need to get back to the world of blogging. I saw my pretty fall tree in my dining room this morning and thought about how nice it would look on my blog. Of course, I was walking out the door and didn't actually take a picture of it, but that will come. At least it got me motivated to write something. So I will take pictures this weekend. I also plan on doing a little crafting, so I'll take pics of that too. Yay!! I'm back!!!

Scrapbooking

We had our monthly scrapbooking/card making get together last night. I've been waiting on this since last month. We had a nice little supper and then I unpacked all my scrapbooking junk, only to find that I didn't bring a single picture!!! I can't believe I packed up all my junk but no pics.

I did start a couple of cards and cut out some leaves for the Pre-K craft project. I guess that's better than nothing. My mom got 3 pages done last night and started a 4th, so she's really moving right along.

I would love to stock up on some more supplies, so if anyone knows of a good website with really good deals, let me know. I am looking for paper and doo dads for scrapbooking and card making.
