Yes, I got my fainting goats yesterday. We got a female that's mostly black with a white spot on her side. And we got a male that's black and white all over. They were already named when we got them. I can't say I like their names, but what can I do. The lady we got them from had 45 goats, so I guess she started running out of names. The male is Spanky because his face is mostly white and he has a black ring around his eye. The female is named Loretta Lynn. Why? I don't know. I will post pictures of my new babies tomorrow. I will do a side by side with both Loretta Lynns and we’ll see if there is a resemblance.
This morning I got out of the shower and went to the kitchen to make coffee. All I had on was my towel. I looked out the kitchen window and saw Spanky wandering around having breakfast. I opened the door and stepped out on the back deck. I called out to the goats and they all started bellowing at me. They were probably saying, “Go back inside you old fool. You will catch a cold out here in nothing but a towel with that wet hair”. Don’t worry; it’s a big beach towel. The goats couldn’t see anything.
Oh, yes, we did get one of them to faint. Apparently, Loretta Lynn isn’t much of a fainter, but Spanky is. (The goats are classified from level 1 – 6 depending on their fainting abilities. I will go into more of this later.) It seems that they’ve gotten used to people clapping their hands and yelling boo. But Michael got Spanky last night. That crazy thing jumped in the hair and locked up with his legs straight out. Then he landed on his side. He just laid there and I thought he was dead. Michael poked him and a couple seconds later he got up and went back to eating. It’s like it doesn’t even faze them. It’s not easy to scare them, but I will do my best to get a little video of this craziness.
I will try to take pics tonight to post tomorrow of our little herd of goats. We need to think of a name for our “farm”. Suggestions? I thought of the “Circle C Farm”. I was calling it a ranch, but Michael said that’s a bit of an exaggeration. Hee heeeee

Ok...you can change their names is you want.....the trick is to use the same beginning letter and ending sound, so for Spanky, it could be Sparky, or Stacy, or something like that. Familiar in the sounds, but not the same word! I have no idea what you could do for Loretta - Lolita, or Latisha! Good luck with that one! Oh, and I like your "farm" just make sure they don't grab your towel from you next time you go say mornin!
Actually, these goats are registered with these names. Yes, there is a fainting goat registry. And we have to register our "farm" to that we can register our future babies.
