Tonight is the big night. Hubby is having his preaching debut. He is so excited!! He’s known about this for almost 2 months now and he’s been working on it for about that long. He’s practiced and studied. I think he’ll do a great job. He’s naturally a good public speaker. I’ve seen him teach Sunday school and he’s very relaxed. He is very enthusiastic about this and I hope he’s well received.
Hubby told me yesterday that his dad, Pastor, asked him if he was nervous and he said no. Then he asked me if he should be nervous. Well, no. There’s nothing for him to be nervous about. Then he asked if I would be nervous if I had to do that. Let’s get 1 thing straight. I do not public speak. I can talk and talk to my friends, but put me in front of a group and I freeze up. My mouth gets dry, I start stuttering, I can’t look at the people and my face starts getting all hot and red. It’s pretty ugly. I can’t even think, I just ramble and ramble talking in circles.
We have dinner at 6 before the preaching at 7. Then since its New Years Eve, we will be staying around to fellowship and eat. We are going to pray in the New Year. It should be a fun time!! I can’t wait. Of course, I do start to get a little cranking at the hour gets later, so I’ll have to keep my attitude in check. You can’t be getting attitude at church of all places!!
