Where Will We Live?

We need somewhere to live. Our lease is up at the end of June. That gives us April and May to find something. By June I would honestly like to know where we’re going to be living!! I had hoped that we would be able to get in somewhere around the middle of June to give ourselves plenty of time to move.

Well, I found a house yesterday that sounds really nice. 3 BR, 2 baths and 2 half baths. It has a 2 car garage, wood floors and it’s on 3.7 acres. It is available to rent or purchase. The only problem is that the rent is more than we pay now!!! We had hoped to get something cheaper up here.

Hubby talked to the man about renting vs buying. He is willing to rent and then talk about purchasing. He has an assumable loan, so I’m hoping that would make it easier should we choose to buy. Now we have to decide if we want to pay MORE than we’re paying now. I don’t mind paying more to buy, but I hate to in order to rent. At least it’s bigger than what we have now. Whew hoo!!! Another bathroom to clean!!

We are going to check it out tonight or tomorrow. It’s in Dublin and it has a little land so Hubby and Tiny can go out and shoot in the backyard. (Maybe) And I’m hoping that this guy is flexible and maybe we can talk him out of a little of that rent if we sound serious about buying. Or at least make it more of a rent to own situation.

Maybe I can take pics when we go see it.

That sounds like a good lead. Maybe you'll save money on gas and that'll help out on the additional cost of the house. It's always so much better to buy than rent...I hate the thought of throwing my money away to never see it again!

Be sure to take some pics and let us know how it works out! If it's the right place, God will make it all work....you just have to follow his leading!

Take pics! Also, check with a loan officer or a real estate agent about the new deals for first time home buyers and new FHA loans - they are giving up to $8000 to first time home buyers!!!!!

JR is right about the gas/extra money for house.
