The Bathroom (sensitive subject matter)

Everyone knows about my bathroom habits. I mean, I make no secret of them. I have no problem going to the bathroom. I can go several times a day especially if I eat the right meal. But, I must have privacy. I cannot go into a public restroom with numerous stalls, even in an emergency. My bowels get locked up. It’s terrible. I must have complete privacy.

This is why I liked the bathroom at the Sheriff’s Office. It was one of those one room jobs. You didn’t have to worry about people walking in or waiting or whatever. Especially once I was the only girl in the office. I never had to fear someone waiting outside the door. Which I might say, if you stand there waiting for more than 2 or 3 minutes, Leave!! Something is going on in there that you don’t want to walk in right after.

This place is another story. The bathroom is right next to one office and across from someone else’s office. There are 2 stalls. There is one right when you walk in the door. When you open the door you take a right into the stall door and it goes back to the right. Like back towards the door. Make sense? The other stall is past that. When you sit down, your knees touch the door. There are 2 sinks on past the stalls. It’s a small room. If I am peeing and you open the door, you could hear me peeing in the office across the hall. It’s creapy. I cannot do any extensive business in there. Not to mention there’s 20 or 30 people on this floor and 2 stalls for them all. Oh my…

The only good thing about this bathroom is that there is a fan going when the light is on. That makes up for a lot. But not enough.

Now, here’s the problem. People usually go to the bathroom at the same time each day. Some in the morning, some before bed, whenever. Well, like I said, I go numerous times. I usually go when I get home, sometimes after dinner. But recently, I’ve been having the urge to go after I get to work in the morning. This is bad. I can’t go when I get up; it doesn’t happen until I get to work. At the pokey, it was no problem. I had plenty of peace and there’s no peace here in this bathroom.

I have thought about venturing out into the main entrance to the building to the public restroom. It’s a one room job. But I would have to pass the receptionists and they would probably wonder why I’m wandering outside to the public bathroom. I know there’s a one room job downstairs, but people work down in the basement. If they were to see me come out of there, what excuse would I have for being down there? It would be obvious. And I don’t someone to think I’m being rude by coming to do the business in their bathroom. That’s just tacky.

I have to come up with a solution to this problem. I keep telling Hubby that when we move up this way, we need to be close enough for me to go home at lunch. That may or may not happen, but I need a solution to this problem. It’s making me uncomfortable.

You had me rolling on the floor with this one. I know EXACTLY how you are with the bathroom issue. I bet it's killing you!

You're right, you can't go poo in the other people's bathroom; it'd be like the magistrates who only came to the front office for certain bathroom needs!
