We went to see Mall Cop this weekend. It was a pretty good movie. No foul language or anything like that. That kind of stuff really turns me off anymore. It’s really unnecessary. Why is it that you go to see a movie and there’s got to be a bunch of cussing and stuff? If they took all the cussing out of movies, they could probably drop the ratings on many of them. All this dang bad language. So anyway, yes, it was funny. Kevin James is just a funny guy. And it always surprises me that he seems to end up with a pretty girl. I guess humor does go a long way. The movie was only about an hour and a half so it’s not too much to wrap your mind around. And there was a slight lull in the middle but it picked back up.
Now I’m not saying you should fork out all that money for a ticket. Movie tickets are what now? $9.50 for an evening show? For a couple you spend $40 on movie tickets and snacks. And you know you can’t go to the movies without getting popcorn slathered in butter!!!
Here’s how our little movie outing experience went. The line for tickets was long so Hubby told me to go inside and get our snacks. I wasn’t going to stand around with all that junk, so I waited til he was almost at the beginning (or end, depending on which way you look at it) of the line and I went and bought a large popcorn, 2 drinks and sour patch kids. It was $24. More than the cost of the tickets!! The popcorn and 2 drinks was a special for $20. Oh my. So then Hubby walks in and says tickets to that movie are sold out. So now I have just spent $24 on not even $5 worth of snacks for what? I was extremely put out at this point. And I’m sure everyone around me knew it. All the other movies that were getting ready to start were too rated R for me. So finally we decided to leave and the nice lady behind the counter offered to refund our money. As if I wouldn’t take her up on that.
After all that mess we drove about 15 mins to the next town to see the movie. We went to a small theater that had $5 tickets. They only have 2 theaters. If there’s nothing like that near you, wait til it comes out on DVD and pop you a bag of popcorn to enjoy with it. I will say that we got a drink, popcorn and sour patch kids for the price of a single movie ticket at the big theaters. I may have to check this place out again.

I can't wait until this comes out on DVD...I think he is so funny. I'm glad it's not something that has a lot of bad language...I hate that anymore.
I agree with the language. Its almost as if you can't understand the plot b/c you're too busy trying to count how many f-bombs they have!
So, cheap seats huh?? might have to check that out!
There is a theater here that has cheaper tickets AND if you save your BIG bucket, refils for popcorn are only FIFTY CENTS!!!!!!
