I just finished the 3rd book in the Left Behind series. I went to the library last night to pick up book 4 and 5 so I would be taken care of the rest of the week. I had a few pages left in book 3 when I got to work and I knew that I would finish it so I brought along another book so I wouldn’t have to wait until I got home. So here I sit when Sweet Baby Girl walks in and I’m telling her about how I’m almost done with book 3 and how I was smart enough to bring the next book to start on. That’s when she points out that I did not bring book 4, but book 5 with me. Book 4 is sitting in the floor beside my bed at the house. AAAGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!!! So here I am with a book I can’t even read because I can’t read the darn things out of order. I am all to pieces over this.
These books are so motivating and captivating. I just can’t quit reading. It’s hard to explain, but they have really put a sense of urgency in me. They motivate me to be more serious about telling people about Jesus and living my life for Him. I have even used the books to bring up the subject. If you are a non believer, these books might help you make the decision to come to know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour. Or at least to ask questions and learn more about it. And if you are a true Christian, I think these books will motivate you to get out and share God’s word. They are just that dynamic to me. Call me crazy. JR911 was right, I’m addicted. Maybe that’s a bad word choice, but you know what I mean.
Also, I am not that familiar with Revelations. I mean, even if I was, it’s confusing. Now I know that these books are fiction, but they are based on the Bible. The interpretations in this book are probably as close as any could come to what is actually going to happen after the Rapture. And it’s making much more sense to me. I would like a series of books about the period of time leading up to the Rapture. That would be interesting. And I can only imagine how close to present day events they would be…
