The House Scoop

Here’s the scoop on the house. It is kind of a light khaki color. It’s got fairly new siding and a fairly new roof. It honestly doesn't look that big from outside. When you pull into the driveway, it loops around, so you don’t have to back out into the street. Nice. You are in front of the 2 car garage. From the front, the downstairs of the house is on the same level as the garage. The garage and downstairs are not “connected” so you can walk up the sidewalk in between them and go left into the garage, right into the house or straight back into a large storage area.

If you are in the driveway, you can walk up the steps and onto the front porch. When you walk in the door you are in the living room. It goes to the back of the house. You can walk to the right and you are in the big dining room. If you turn right again, toward the front of the house, there is a half bath and small laundry room.

From the dining room turning left, toward the back of the house, is an eat in kitchen. There is a dishwasher. Yay!! And a pantry closet thingy. The back door opens onto a small deck. This is not a deck high off the ground. The top level of the house is level with the ground in the back of the house.

Back to the living room, if you go left, you are above the garage, in the master bedroom. It’s big. There’s a full bath with a skylight and walk in closet. There is a small hall between the living room and the master and it has 2 or 3 more closets.

Now back to the kitchen. You can walk downstairs and you are in the den. It stretches back to your left. To the right is the door to go outside and a closet (I think). On the opposite end of the den is a half bath and another big closet under the stairs. Toward the front of the house is the 2 other bedrooms. You can go into either bedroom from the den. Then you can go out the other side of each room going toward the front of the house and walk down the little hall to another full bath. Across from that is another big storage area.

From the outside, I never would have believed there was that much space in the house. I really am amazed. I believe it’s supposed to be about 2200 sq ft. I don’t assume that includes the garage. There are old refinished hardwood floors in the upstairs. They aren’t perfect, which I think makes them look even neater. Carpet downstairs and in the master bedroom. The tile in the bathrooms is nice. There is lots of closet space and I’m happy to say, closets in the bathrooms, which we don’t have now. Across from the washer and dryer is a small area to hang stuff.

The house is on a small lot, but there’s actually 4 lots available totally almost 4 acres. Facing the house, on the left there’s plenty of space and on the right, there twice as much as on the left. Then the land goes back a little inside the woods line. There’s a very slight slope in the back, but overall, the lands pretty level. Nice space for a garden and maybe a pond. And Gavin will love to ride his 4 wheeler. The empty lot on the right isn’t cleared, but there’s no trees or woods and it’s not overgrown. Just some bushes and stuff. He could ride all over the yard. I will let you know how it turns out. And my peeps will have to come over for a cookout!!!

Oh, and it’s less than a mile from the prison in Pulaski. The one that’s closing.
