(Let me just say that if we were behind closed doors, this story would be a lot different. But, we aren't, and this is plastered all across the internet, so it is what it is. All I can say is... Laaaasssssssss!!!!!!!!!!)
Yes, we call them clients. What would you have us call them? No, don't answer that question. Just keep it to yourself. Well, you can say it out loud if there aren’t others around. OK, we shall continue…
We are having all the clients complete a health care survey to determine the need/success of a healthcare clinic in the area that would service low income familes. One of the workers had 5 appointments today, so I was supposed to meet with her clients after she did to help them complete the survey. (read “complete the survey for them”)
Apparently a lot of people weren’t interested in renewing their benefits because they didn’t show up for their renewal appointments. But, lucky for me, Mr. Saggy Bottoms doesn’t want to lose his benefits. I guess he doesn’t own a belt because everywhere he went, he had to hold his pants up. And when I say, hold them up, I mean just that. He was just saggin, they would have fallen completely to the floor. The poor thing couldn’t hear what I was saying and when he did, he was confused.
Remember me saying that we are divided up into ABD and F&C? I couldn’t decide whether I would rather have the oldies or the kiddies? Well, just think of it this way, during the school year, the kiddies should be in school. Nuff said. I think I will work out well in the F&C group.
Oh yes, the survey did get completed. And Mr. Saggy Bottoms is registered to win a $25 gift certificate to Wal-Mart. Heck, if I could win a $25 GC to Wal-Mart, I’d fill out a survey!!!
Did I mention that I had rearranged my office the other week? I know, I’m only finishing out my 3rd week and I’ve already rearranged my office twice. No, you didn’t misread, I said twice. I rearranged it again today. I couldn’t help it. I was staring out the door and it was distracting me. You have to pass my office to get to the bathroom and every time someone walked by I would look up from what I was doing. Now, the office is back to the way it was when I moved in, only with a few slight modifications to suit me.
I did meet Hubby’s mom for lunch today. Actually, she picked me up at the door. She took me to the Chinese buffet. Yummy!!! I was telling her how much I like it here. The distance from home is a couple miles longer but it takes less time and there’s a lot less traffic and not as much interstate time.
At lunch, you can ride all the way out to the end of the main road and it takes maybe 5 minutes. There are not a lot of big restaurants, mostly fast food or just holes in the wall, but there is a selection. Plus, I don’t eat out a lot, so that’s OK. And since everything is close, you can enjoy your meal without shoveling it in and looking at your watch the whole time.
So I was telling Terry that I’m excited about moving up here. We can still be “out in the country” and be closer than I am now. I can plant a garden and have my chickens and pigs. It’s just so laid back and relaxing. It’s almost kind of weird. I can’t wait!!!

You.....in a "laid back" place.....hmmmmm, something doesn't seem to fit here.
Glad to hear you get the same "clientelle" as we get here, just on the other side of the bars. You remember how many people wanted their release date so they could get their benefits back? Now instead of having them on the front end, you get them on the back end!!! It never ends, does it?
